A little background about me and this site.

I was a Web Producer for a fairly large .com company.  We deal with a high volume traffic on a day-to-day basis (avg 2.2mil/mo).  Anything we push to the front end site would need to prove that it could withstand the multiple browsers that are used in visiting the site as well as light-weight code that wouldn’t kill our servers, even down to the smallest byte counts. I would generally be called upon for help with the most unique bugs or fixes for style issues, Javascript, flash, the list goes on. I began to dabble in all sorts of front-end development, a jack of all trades if you will.

Now, I am partnered with kiwi9.com. We are a web-shop for any and all web-interaction needs. I work on blog sites, e-commerce sites to flash and even Web Marketing (PPC, SEO, SEM,…). I have used the extension/plug-ins we all get for free in many of the open source plateforms available. A lot of times, a client will want something custom, or the plug-in doesn’t work. I found myself Having to troubleshoot code, clean up styles, and even merge two plug-ins just to get the final result.

So I decided to start posting my finds in case other people had run across similar problems. In some of my searching for answers, I found very little resources on the subject. Who knows, maybe I was the only one with the issue? I would like to think I’m not that lucky.

Many times there are better solutions and I am always looking for updates for lighter, faster solutions. I am just posting what I have found to work, cross browser, and have the smallest amount of quirks in it.  Please contact me if there updates or fixes that proved very beneficial to other websites. I am always looking to learn new solutions.
